The Light Blue Ribbon Lapel Pin has been used to promote public awareness of Lymphedemae also known as Lymphoedema or Lymphatic Obstruction, this is a retention of fluid in the lymphatic system. Lymphedemae has only just started to be acknowledged as a condition which needs attention due to the constent risk of infection in affected limbs in some areas little is still known of the condition.
